Digital Photo Restoration: Watkins Girls

Watkins Girls Digital Photo RestorationThis image has been restored to its original quality using GIMP, a popular photo editing software. We started with a photograph that had a unwanted red tint. This type of distortion is called a color cast. A colour cast is a tint of a particular color, usually unwanted, which affects the whole of a photographic image evenly [wiki]. By modifying the red channel with the Curves tool, we were able to remove the color cast; restoring the color to this photo that time had taken away. We then proceeded to remove the scratches in the photo using the Clone tool in GIMP. We finished by applying a few slight enhancements to image. If you would like your old photos restored to their original quality, contact Adam Ham for an estimate. View Restored Photo ยป
